The first thing you will want to do is close off any rooms that aren’t in use. Shutting off the spare bedrooms will help keep the rooms are are in a little warmer.
Now, we must address the way you dress. There is no shame in dressing as warm as possible, you are, after all, in the privacy of your home. Think layers, start off with a shirt and cover that with a sweater and than top that off with another sweater. You won’t look terribly stylish, but you will at least stay warm.
If you have portable heaters or electric blankets, now is the perfect time to put them to good use. Bury the family under a mound of blankets on the family couch and watch a movie set in the dessert, like Ishtar or Sahara.
If you feel motivated, get up and do some jumping jacks or hop up on the treadmill. Exercise will not only get you heated up, it is a healthy way to stay warm.
